When gods walk the world, clerics channel divine power, evil cults perform dark sacrifices in subterranean lairs, and shining paladins stand like beacons against the darkness, it's hard to be ambivalent about the deities and deny their existence. Beta Wine client for MacOS (May 2019): DDO Forums

Support for other computers and operating systems[edit]

For older Macs with Intel processors, DDO may still be able to be run either using Boot Camp to host a Windows installation or by using a virtualization application such as Parallels, VMware Fusion, or WINE. Intel Integrated Graphics may prove ineffectual for rendering the game, a dedicated graphics card is highly recommended. PowerPC Macs are not supported.

Free roulette for fun. Linux users may opt to try Wine, an API translation layer that allows many Windows applications to operate in the UNIX-like operating system. See DDO On Linux for more help getting it installed on a Linux operating system using Wine. A fully virtualized PC using a tool such as VirtualBox with the Guest Additions installed (and 3D graphics enabled) or VMware Workstation Player can also be used to install a full Windows OS environment.

  • Do not upgrade to Catalina for MacOS DDO Forums

2020 update:

64-bit client[edit]

Since Update 45 (Feb 2020), the DDO game client can run in 64-bit, which can improve game performance. By default, you continue using the 32-bit client unless you manually change the option in the launcher (Options > General tab > Game Client). You can toggle between 32- and 64-bit versions at any time. DDO Forums
